Ctenanthe

About Ctenanthe

The Calathea, Ctenanthe & Stromanthe plants are the most popular indoor plants in New Zealand, seen in many homes and offices. Calathea plants are part of the Marantaceae family which is a flowering species from the tropical areas in Africa. They are also known as prayer plants as they will curl their leaves up at night.

With such a variety to choose from you can see why they’re so popular!  They thrive in high-humidity areas like bathrooms and kitchens.  They prefer medium to bright, indirect light as direct sun will burn the leaves of these variegated beauties.
